A.Light based technology is based on a method called "selective photo thermolysis" which works by selective destruction of a specified target without damaging surrounding tissue. In this technology a visible beam of light and a constant source of heat is used to penetrate the hair follicles, destroying them at their roots without damaging the surrounding skin or tissue.
